Phaedra Parks and her adorable little ones, Ayden and Dylan, made a trip to Washington, D.C., over the weekend to attend the Million Man March’s 20th anniversary celebration. But the trio’s getaway from Atlanta, Georgia, has raised a few questions among The Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s fans!
Parks made the trip to the march with her RHOA castmates Porsha Williams and Shereé Whitfield. Parks’ brother and Whitfield’s son joined the reality TV ladies for the event!
But a few of the RHOA star’s fans noted on social media that Parks made the trip from Atlanta to D.C. -- which is close to a 10-hour drive or around 2-hour flight -- but still hasn’t taken her sons to visit their father, Apollo Nida, over one year into his prison sentence at a Lexington, Kentucky, correctional facility!
From Atlanta, that 640 mile trip to Lexington would be close to a 6-hour drive or around an hour and a half flight. However, as of September, Parks still hadn’t taken her young boys to see their father.

Nida has spoken out against his estranged wife’s decision not to bring the boys to the prison. However, Parks has remained firm, saying that she is devoted to making the best choices for her sons. “The one thing I will say is that every single decision I make is based on one thing: the well-being of my two boys,” she said in April. “It’s easy for people to ask why she did that or why she isn’t doing this, but the simple truth is unless you are in that situation yourself, you really can’t make that judgment.”
“I do my best to make smart decisions after carefully considering all options and consulting with experts and others who advise me,” she added. “I know in my heart that everything I do is based on what is best for my children.”
Parks has yet to respond to any of the criticism she’s faced for traveling to D.C. with her sons while Apollo continues to beg her to see his boys. But with the historical and social significance of the march for her young boys, Parks likely won’t be stressing the talk from her RHOA fans!
