Prince Harry Cut Off Several Of His Old Friends During Meghan Markle's Pregnancy
Prince Harry said goodbye to many of his old friends when his wife Meghan Markle was pregnant with their son Archie Harrison last year. Sources close to the royal couple told People that the Duke of Sussex "cut off" his close friends during that time.
Archie, 35, “cut off” many of his close BFFs “about six months into” Meghan's pregnancy. Archie was born on May 6, 2019.
“Most no longer even have his cell number,” the source revealed. “They totally understand that men often drift from their friends after marriage, but there’s still a lot of resentment because they had been so close for so long.”
The insider added that there is one person who Harry hasn't let go of: Charlie van Straubenzee. Harry and Charlie met at Ludgrove Prep School and have stayed close pals. Charlie is one of Archie's godparents.
Meghan, 38, on the other hand, has stayed connected to her old BFFs. Longtime friend from the former Suits star's acting days, Jessica Mulroney, has stayed close her. The stylist's three children even served as page boys and a flower girl in Meghan and Harry's May 2018 wedding.

Reports revealed earlier this month that Archie stayed in Canada while the Duchess of Sussex and the Invictus Games founder traveled to London. Meghan is also still friends with her Suits costar Abigail Spencer. Abigail, 38, was spotted with Meghan during a hike on New Year's Day and she also attended her baby shower in February 2019.
The news of Harry keeping his distance from his friends comes after reports of a fractured relationship with his brother Prince William. Meghan and Harry shared a joint statement on January 8 announcing their plans to step down from the royal family. “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution,” they began. “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen."
William, 37, and the father of one issued a statement slamming reports of a royal rift. “Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a U.K. newspaper today speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge,” the princes’ representative told Us Weekly on January 13. “For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”
