Prince Harry Reveals He's Only Had 'Two Hours Of Sleep' Since Wife Meghan Markle Gave Birth

Prince Harry is getting his very first dose of fatherhood! Just hours after he and wife Meghan Markle welcomed their first child into the world on Monday, May 6, the Duke of Sussex revealed that he has only gotten "two hours of sleep" since his son was born at 5:26am. Despite his lack of sleep, Harry, 34, seemed over the moon as he happily answered questions from reporters after his son's birth on May 6.
“I’ve had about two hours of sleep,” the Duke of Sussex reportedly told ITV off-camera.
The next day, Harry's older brother, Prince William wished the new dad good luck and jokingly welcomed him into "the sleep deprivation society that is parenting."

William, 36, added, "I wish him all the best and I hope the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in their family and the joys that come with that."

Meghan, 37, and Harry's official Instagram account made a statement announcing the birth of their baby. "We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz," it read.
