Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a moment of terror during their flight from Tonga back into Australia when the pilot had to abort their landing just seconds before reaching the Sydney airport. For more information on what went down, scroll through!
The aircraft came within seconds of landing, but the pilot had to pull away and re-approach when he saw that there was another aircraft in their way on the runway.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on the tail end of their 16-day tour through Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, and were on a chartered Qantas chartered flight with their traveling staff and journalists, late Friday, October 26, local time.
Simon Atkinson, a BBC journalist, posted a terrifying video of the first attempted (and planned) landing.

Right after the in-flight incident, an announcement from the flight deck said, “There was an aircraft on the runway a little slow to roll … so the decision was taken to abort the landing,” according to BBC.
Don't be alarmed, though! The royal couple and their unborn baby were not at any point in harm's way. A correspondent said, "Such aborted landings are not extraordinary events. At no point was there any risk to safety of the Duke and Duchess," reported BBC.
Meghan and Harry are spending their weekend in Sydney for the end of the Invictus Games, for wounded, sick and injured veterans and armed forces members.
