Rachel Lindsay Just EPICALLY Shut Down A Former ‘Bachelor’ Contestant’s Racist Tweet
While The Bachelorette was airing on Monday night, former Bachelor contestant Leah Block, who was on Ben Higgins’ Bachelor season, tweeted a racist “joke” about the season’s large black cast (which is the most diverse cast in Bachelor franchise history), and was swiftly shut down by and her girl squad.
"I'm sitting here watching @BacheloretteABC and my roommate just sat down on the couch and said, 'What is this? @LoveAndHipHop_?' DEAD," Leah tweeted, referring to VH1’s hit show that features a predominately black cast.
Bachelor Nation wasted little time before calling out Leah for her tone-deaf tweet. One of the first responders was Astrid Loch-- who’s close friends with Rachel and also starred on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor-- who managed to throw shade not only at Leah with her Twitter clap back but also at one of Rachel’s suitors, Lee Garret, who’s recently come under fire for his racist tweets. “Are you watching with Lee?” Astrid asked.
After Astrid’s epic clap back, the Bachelorette then directly responded to Leah’s offensive tweet, writing. “Let me know if she wants to meet Lee…They sound like they would have a lot in common. #ihavetimetoday.”

As OK! readers’ know, on Monday night’s episode, Dean Unglert pointed out that Lee only started drama with certain guys because of their “cultural” differences, alluding that Lee was racist. “The only people that I've seen Lee pick fights with have been not the people that he's used to seeing on a daily basis, from a cultural perspective,” he said. “You know exactly what I mean when I say that…The longer Lee sticks around, the more everyone will become aware of his intolerance.”
Since the backlash, Leah has deleted the tweet, and most recently she’s even deactivated her Twitter account.
