Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge's husband Eddie Judge has been cured of atrial fibrillation, otherwise known as AFib. The CUT fitness owner endured multiple hospitalizations and surgeries throughout the years as doctors worked to fix the problem and he opened up about his health journey for AFib Awareness Month.
"Well I'm no longer an AFib — I'm happy to report that. But when I was in AFib it made me feel like an 80-year-old man with nothing really — no energy, nothing. It was lethargism, it was depression, it was not happy, it was not being able to do anything. It was scary," Eddie, 46, explained.
The Mayo Clinic defines AFib as an irregular and often rapid heart rate that can increase your risk of strokes, heart failure and other heart-related complications. Symptoms often include heart palpitations, shortness of breath and weakness.
The fitness trainer revealed that he's done going under the knife and his energy has already returned.

"I don't need anymore surgeries. I'm back to normal as of last week. I set my goal to be able to ride my bike 100 miles like I used to and it took me about a year leading up to that point. So I feel like I'm back to normal. I can do all the things I used to be able to do. I have the same amount of energy. I do still take a blood-thinner, which affects me. There's some side effects to that. So I have one more procedure to fix that, but that's not going to be until next year. So as far as AFib, I'm cured or I'm fixed. Fingers crossed," he added.
Eddie's reality star wife went into detail about his condition during a recent appearance on The Jerry O Show in August. "He's been battling AFib for two years. After three ablations, ten heart procedures, he is back on track. He's feeling better, he's back to riding eighty miles on his bike and working his way up," she told the talk show host.
Tamra and Eddie married on June 15, 2013 and they have no children together. They co-own CUT fitness and in January 2019 they announced they were launching a line of CBD products called VENA Wellness.
