Rob Kardashian is bouncing back following his battle with depression and weight gain, and his famous family is "excited about the progress" he has made. The reality star retreated from the spotlight as he struggled with mental and physical health issues, but he has been going out more and socializing in recent weeks.
"Rob is doing much better. He has lost a lot of weight. These recent family events shown on social mark the first time he has gone out in a while with his family and friends. He’s a full-time dad. Everyone close to him is excited about the progress and positive changes in Rob’s life," a source told Us Weekly.
Rob shocked fans with his drastic weight loss when he posted a photo of himself and mom Kris Jenner on Halloween. He was also spotted looking noticeably thinner when he attended sister Kim Kardashian's birthday party in Palm Springs in late October.
Rob has been single since his split from Blac Chyna, but he is reportedly ready to be in a relationship. "Rob is single but would like to date. He wants to find someone to spend time with and share his life with. He doesn't want to be single and has tried to meet someone.. He's starting to feel better about himself and is feeling more hopeful," another source told E! News.

The source continued, "He knows that he has made bad decisions in the past and wants to do things differently. He doesn't want to get swept up and fall hard for the wrong person. Kris Jenner gives her input and encourages him. She does not want another Blac Chyna drama, and feels like she needs to stay on top him."
The sock designer helped sister Kendall Jenner celebrate her 24th birthday at Delilah restaurant in Hollywood on October 31, and romance rumors began to swirl when he was photographed looking quite cozy with Kylie Jenner's bestie Anastasia "Stassie" Karanikolaou as they left the bash.
Although Rob and Blac Chyna's breakup was messy, they are now on better terms for the sake of their daughter Dream, 2. "Blac Chyna and I are both actively co-parenting and there are no pending or active custody cases," he tweeted in February after they resolved their legal issues.
