Selena Gomez took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 8 to reveal a photo of herself recording music at the studio — just a few days after deciding to skip the 2019 Met Gala on May 6. Scroll through for all the details!
After a tough few months, including an "emotional breakdown" and a rehab stint, Selena, 26, had been slowly making her way back into the spotlight.
The Disney Channel alum had her first extensive interview in months and has been attending various red carpet events.
But while Selena has been a Met Gala regular for the last few years, the star opted out of the prestigious fashion event this year and went to Disneyland with some friends instead!

And on May 8, the "Back To You" singer shared a photo of herself in the studio on Instagram with the caption, "Studio diva."
Selena had previously said that her fans can expect a new album sometime this year. "Every song is a story I’ve experienced. To that point, I think there’s no one who’s going to tell my story better than myself," she said on Coach's new Dream It Real podcast on April 24.
