Selena Gomez Shocking Rehab Update: Does Selena’s Mom Want A Conservatorship?

It’s 2008 all over again! Selena Gomez may be ready to leave rehab and her mom may be preparing to take some extreme measures if the Hollywood star’s stint in treatment proves to be unsuccessful.

While many have praised the star for her brave decision, In Touch reports that the singer is already ready to leave treatment.

“Selena keeps saying she feels like hell and wants to leave the facility or go switch to outpatient treatment,” a source revealed to In Touch. “Apparently some of the medicine and treatment she’s receiving to deal with her anxiety isn’t working very well.”

The source also claims, “A few weeks ago, Selena called her friends and family and told them that she felt trapped. Her mom, Mandy Teefey came to visit and took her out of the facility to talk. She’s still telling everyone that she wants to go home, and then gets mad because she feels like they aren’t listening,” the source revealed.

With Selena’s alleged desire to leave rehab Mandy is said to be hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

“She’s been reaching out to find out what it would take to get a conservatorship for Selena,” a source claimed to In Touch.

The conservatorship would allegedly resemble when Britney Spears’s father, Jamie Spears, was named custodian of Britney in 2008, taking control of his daughter’s finances and ‘major life decisions.’

The source also revealed, “Mandy believes that a mental breakdown is possible if Selena doesn’t take this rehab stint seriously.”
