An insider previously told Radar that Gomez had begun using a dangerous combination of “Lunesta, Ambien, Klonopin and Xanax." But she claims she went to rehab for the effects of lupus.

Not long after leaving rehab, Selena was spotted making out with a self-described “heavy drug” user, The Weeknd.
She was also caught sipping from what appeared to be a glass of wine in a video she posted to Instagram.
“Some of Selena’s close friends and family want to stage an intervention before it’s too late,” a source close to the singer told Radar. “They fear that this is not going to end well.”

Gomez's relapse might be related to her troubled love life. The 24-year-old pop star has been off and on again with ex Justin Bieber for nearly 10 years.
It's not only Gomez's love life that's getting her down. Her already rocky relationship with her mother and step-father took a hit when the rising star fired her parents as part of her management team in 2014.
That same year she voluntarily checked herself into rehab for pills and alcohol, although her reps claim it was not for substance abuse.
“Everyone has tried to step in at different points in Selena’s life," a family friend told Radar, "but after so many ups and downs a lot of people close to her are just kind of at a loss as to what to do. She tells everyone to mind their own business and that it is her life. She is going to do what she wants to do."
