Soulja Boy Released From Prison 5 Months Early For Good Behavior

Soulja Boy was released from a Los Angeles jail on Sunday, July 14, five months early. He spent over three months in prison and was freed due to good behavior.
The 28-year-old was sentenced to 240 days in prison for violating probation and only served 146 days.
The "Crank That" rapper was released due to a early because of good behavior, time served and overcrowding.
He was discharged just before 2 a.m. and had been in prison since April 11. He was also required to complete 265 days of community service.

Soulja's legal troubles stemmed from a 2014 arrest when he was arrested for carrying a loaded gun.
After receiving probation, he was arrested again for possession of another firearm.
In April 2017, the Chicago native pleaded no contest to two counts of felony weapons possession charges and one misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property.
His legal woes continued when he was apprehended by police in March 2019 and was accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman.
