‘Stranger Things’ Star Charlie Heaton Busted With Cocaine At Los Angeles Airport

Charlie Heaton, who portrays Jonathan Byers on the Netflix show Stranger Things, was allegedly detained at LAX airport last Saturday for cocaine possession, according to The Sun.

The 23-year-old British actor was denied entry to the United States and sent back to the United Kingdom the same day after he was allegedly caught with the drug by sniffer dogs.

A source said: “He was not arrested. He was detained at the airport for a while and then put back on a plane to London that night. If you are a foreign national and it is a large amount of drugs you may be charged. But if it is personal use, the consequences are that you will not be allowed into the country. US law is very strict on this.”

Charlie was flying to Los Angeles for the season two premiere party for his show’s second season.  The actor was noticeably absent on Thursday night’s Stranger Things red carpet, as his costars celebrated the Netflix release.

Earlier this year, Charlie was spotted holding hands with his costar Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler, on a few outings, however, they have yet to publicly confirm whether they are dating. Natalia though was in attendance at the L.A. event on Thursday.
