It has been an excruciating time for Tamera Mowry, as she’s had to deal with the loss of her grandmother Clo and niece Alaina Housley, both of whom died recently. She returned to The Real on Tuesday where the 40-year-old broke down in tears while discussing both of her loved ones. Read on for all the details.

Alaina was confirmed dead in early November after a horrific nightclub massacre took place in Thousand Oaks, California. At 18, she was the youngest of the 13 victims killed that evening.

The mother-of-two broke down in tears while discussing how life has been for her over the past couple of months during The Real’s most recent episode.
“You know it’s been a challenging two months to say the least. My faith is just stretching and growing. My grandmother was 89. She was 8 days shy of her 90th birthday,” Tamera said while discussing her Grandmother. “She was an amazing soul, beautiful inside and out and even in her last days she was glowing. She was glowing. She preached all the way until the end.”

“I’m telling you, she was an amazing woman of God and what I loved about her was that if you were blessed enough to meet her you were changed forever in a positive way,” Tamera tearfully continued. “So she’s left a beautiful legacy, I’m going to continue with that legacy, to the best of my abilities, and we love her, we miss her. But I know where she is and she’s with the lord.”
