Teen Mom OG Recap: Farrah Abraham's Cry Face Is Back—And So Is Maci Bookout
Though we only met him via video chat last week, episode 7 of Teen Mom OG features Farrah Abraham's boyfriend, Simon Saran, in the flesh. And even Debra gets to meet him! Read on for the photo recap of this week's episode, especially if you want to find out how Maci Bookout made her triumphant return to the show after "quitting."
Farrah is in Las Vegas this week doing a paid appearance at a party, and Simon joins her. But that's after the Farrah Abraham cry face circa 2012—though it's obstructed by an avocado—makes a reappearance. Farrah gets emotional talking about Sophia's dad Derek, who died in an accident, and how, aside from Simon, he's really the only boyfriend she's ever had. She also gets anxious thinking about Simon meeting her "crazy family."
But after Simon and Farrah charter a private helicopter from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, where Farrah and Debra are filming a new TV pilot about mother/daughter therapy, Simon gets to meet Debra. It goes as well as you'd expect, and Debra even sucks up to her daughter's boyfriend when he tells her that he owns a furniture company. "I love furniture," she says, as Farrah rolls her eyes. But alas, Simon and Debra hit it off and they all toast to the future. Amen.
And like infamous Farrah's cry face, Maci resurfaces this week after she dramatically quit in last week's episode when finding out that Farrah was back on the show. She explains that in her original agreement with MTV Farrah was never going to come back, so she was mad that they deceived her. But ultimately, Maci decides to let them film her again—as long as they don't film her son Bentley, who she doesn't want to be associated with Farrah's, um, pornographic business ventures.

So without a cute little boy to film, Maci's storyline this week focuses on herself and boyfriend Taylor McKinney. They get an ultrasound of their little girl, and talk, separately, about marriage with their friends. "I'd rather be planning a wedding right now," Maci admits to her BFF, while Taylor jokingly tells his guy pals that he "better propose before the end of season 1." That Taylor. Such a jokester.

But afterwards, a sushi dinner turns sour for the couple when they can't seem to agree on the timing for their wedding and their plans for the future. Taylor wants to move before the baby comes, though Maci insists she doesn't want to just settle for a house. This is the first time we've seen tension between Maci and Taylor and we need it to stop!
And speaking of engagements, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier get pretty serious this week, buying puppies together and getting engaged after he proposes in the booth of a diner. Amber's family has mixed feelings—both her cousin Krystal and her brother Shawn are concerned that she's moving too fast—but Amber's mom Tonya is just happy that she's happy. And her best line of the night? "Matt is only four years younger than me!," she says of Amber's 43-year-old fiance. Not helping, Tonya. Not helping.
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra adjust to life at home with newborn Nova, and while they're happy that they actually got to take home their baby unlike last time, the couple can't help but make comparisons to Carly. But it helps that Carly's adoptive mom Teresa sends the Baltierras a care package of Carly's baby stuff to use for their new daughter. And it's creepy because Carly and Nova look identical!
Teresa also admits that she is "very excited" to meet Nova and will love her just as much as she loves Carly, so everyone's just a big happy family and that's what we like to see.
