Teen Mom OG star Tyler Baltierra has revealed that his father Butch has relapsed. The reality star spoke candidly about the setback and opened about how their relationship has changed as a result of Butch falling off the wagon.
During a recent appearance on Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry’s podcast Coffee Convos, Tyler, 27, said, “Butch’s in the middle of a relapse right now. That’s the reality of that situation right now.”
“Now we go back to square one,” he added. “We do this relapse thing and kind of ride this train out and see what happens.”
During a recent Teen Mom OG episode, Tyler expressed his suspicions that Butch was no longer sober to wife Catelynn.

Though Butch successfully completed rehab and celebrated one year of sobriety in November 2018, Tyler worried that their lack of communication wasn’t a good sign.
“I haven't talked to my Dad at all, a lot, lately,” he told Catelynn. “That's usually not a good sign when he's not talking to me.”
However, at the time, Catelynn shot back, “He tries to reach out to you you just don't ever answer.”
In November 2018, Butch marked his accomplishment with an Instagram post. “I had 365 days clean yesterday,” he wrote at the time. “I didn’t post anything because I was pretty busy, but I just want to tell you it’s not all that easy, and it ain’t all that hard.”
