While some fans of the now canceled Roseanne reboot have been asking themselves whether they’ll be on board for the upcoming spinoff series, The Conners, after it was announced that Roseanne Barr’s character will be killed off following her racist Twitter rants, her ex Tom Arnold is still wrapping his head around how feels about the write-off. Read on for the latest.
Tom sat down for a candid discussion with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday when the conversation inevitably turned to the Roseanne reboot.
Since Tom was a writer on the original series from 1990-1994, and was married to Roseanne throughout that same timeframe, Andy was especially interested to hear what he thought about Roseanne’s character being killed off The Conners spinoff series.
First of all, Tom had just found out this was happening when Andy read him a tweet that asked Tom the same question. To which he responded, "Wait, I hadn’t heard. Is that true? Oh my god!”

The 59-year-old then told Andy, "I don’t know what to think. I wish them all the best. Oh boy, I don’t know.”
He might have been playing coy during this interview, but back in May following the Roseanne cancellation Tom was very quick to sound off about the whole thing, going as far to say that Roseanne “wanted her show to be canceled.”
