Wendy Williams doesn’t have sympathy for Meghan Markle! The Duchess of Sussex was close to tears during an ITV interview for the Harry & Meghan: An African Journey special that aired in England on October 20. However, The Wendy Williams Show host, doesn’t believe Meghan's claims that she didn't understand the level of pressure she would be under as Prince Harry’s wife.
“Meghan Markle says she was warned not to marry Prince Harry,” Wendy, 55, began on the October 22 episode of her show. “You know who warned her… some hating-a**girlfriend of hers. Like you meet a prince and your friends gonna tell you not to marry? Or Meghan‘s lying to try and get sympathy, for us to give her sympathy.”
Wendy then aired the clip where Meghan, 38, spoke to ITV reporter Tom Bradby. “When I first met my now-husband my friends were so happy because I was happy. But my British friends said to me, ‘I’m sure he’s great but you shouldn’t do it,” she said in reference to having her life under a microscope. She added, “I didn’t get it.”
“Yes you did. You knew exactly what you were doing,” Wendy responded after showing her audience that clip. “And I applaud her plot-ation on the royal situation. But please, don’t try to garner sympathy from us. You knew what you were doing.”

“Move to America and live part time in Africa like you want to do. You have to still go back to England. The thing about moving to America is you’re really kicking this royal thing out of your life. Have a place in all three places,” Wendy suggested. “Have a mansion in Malibu, a big hut — I’ve never been to Africa, I don’t know or a big hotel or wherever you’re gonna live in Africa and then have your royal palace place in England.”
“I like them, I really do like them,” she continued. “But Meghan there’s something about her, you know what I’m saying? And you know what girl, Meghan, don’t be surprised at the paparazzi are everywhere. Of course, because you’re now a royal. They weren’t following you when you were on Suits.”
Wendy threw shade and said, “We didn’t even know who you were except when you came for employment here at Wendy and wanted to be one of our runway models.”
“Meghan, nobody feels sorry for you. You knew what you were signing up for girl!” Wendy concluded.
