Hoda Kotb almost always has a huge smile on her face. With a whirlwind schedule that includes hosting the Today show and being a parent to her one-year-old daughter, how does she manage to stay so happy every day? Well, she shared her secret tips exclusively with OK! Here are a few ways you can live a happier live, according to Hoda.
"Everyone has their own day that they're facing, and you can't even begin to imagine what kind of junk people have to carry with them every day," Hoda told OK!'s Joe Drake. That being said, she recommends some tips she picked up from a TED Talk on five ways to become happier.
"They said, 'Write down three things you're grateful for,' specifically each morning," Hoda said. She also suggested writing down something great that happened in the last 24 hours.
"Exercise for 30 minutes," the Today show host continued, "pray or meditate, and do one random act of kindness." She said if you do those five things, "it turns the beat around."
Hoda added that when she's having a bad day, she likes to help someone who's having a worse day, and not make it all about her. "It's the only thing to pull you out of the weeds," she said. "Stop navel-gazing."
