OK! Exclusive: Get a Sneak Peek at Lifetime's Original Movie, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B
Not since VH1's TLC movie last fall have we been this excited about a biopic. Lifetime's Aaliyah movie—which got lots of press earlier this year when Zendaya dropped out of the title role—is finally happening! The film, which premieres this weekend, will touch on everything from Aaliyah's rise to fame on Star Search to her tragic death in 2001 when she was jut 22, and we have an exclusive clip from the film from...uh, somewhere in between those two things.

Watch above as Aaliyah—played by Alexandra Shipp—gets in the studio with R. Kelly (played by Cle Bennett) to record "Save the Best for Last," made famous by Vanessa Williams. Alexandra looks and sounds so much like the R&B diva that it's kind of freaking us out.
