Meghan Markle’s Dad Pulls Out Of Wedding Again, Says He Must Get Heart Surgery
Meghan Markle’s dad has announced he is not attending her wedding — again!
On Monday, Thomas Markle announced he would not be attending Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding after admitting he worked with paparazzi to stage photos of himself.
However, by Tuesday morning, Thomas said he was hoping to attend the wedding after all.
“I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle. Of course I’d walk her down the aisle. This is a historic moment. I’d like to be a part of history,” he said.
But by Tuesday afternoon, Thomas, who said he suffered a heart attack a few days ago, claimed he had heart surgery scheduled for Wednesday morning and wouldn’t recover in time to fly to England and attend the wedding.
Thomas was expected to walk Meghan down the aisle, but now it is unclear who will take on that role. Her mother, Doria Ragland, is still scheduled to attend and ride with Meghan in the car to Windsor Castle, where the ceremony is being held.
