'Teen Mom OG' Star Ryan Edwards Arrested

Ryan Edwards has been arrested again.

On Monday July 23rd, Maci Bookout's ex and first baby daddy was booked in Tennessee for “previous charges or other reasons,” according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

A spokesperson for the Hamilton County Jail in Tennessee told RadarOnline.com that he was arrested for petition to revoke probation from a prior charge of simple possession of heroin. "He is still here. He has no bond. He goes to court August 6, 2018. He will be in jail until his court date," the spokesperson added.

It's been a rough couple of months for the reality star dad. Back in March 2018, the 30-year-old was arrested at his home for violating his probation related to a previous heroin possession. “Ryan got six months probation and five public work days,” a source told RadarOnline.com about the sentencing. “He has random drug tests in between.”

Back in March 2017, Ryan was arrested after police found heroin and hypodermic needles in his vehicle during a traffic stop for an expired tag. During a search of the vehicle, police found fourteen hypodermic needles, one of which was loaded with heroin, and a bag tied in the center console with a dark substance inside. According to a police report obtained by RadarOnline.com, the officer wrote, “I asked Edwards what it was and he replied, ‘It’s heroin and I have a problem.’” During the search, authorities also recovered two silver spoons with residue on them and a scale. The heroin was weighed and found to be 1.8 grams. He pled guilty to the simple possession of heroin charge. He was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail. The sentence was suspended upon payment of a $750 fine and good behavior.

As seen on the MTV show, Maci's baby daddy entered rehab for heroin after he was caught on camera slurring his words and falling asleep at the wheel while driving to his May 2017 wedding to wife Mackenzie.

Days before his shocking March 2018 arrest, Maci and her husband, Taylor McKinney, requested a order of protection against Ryan. The request included her son with Ryan, 9-year-old Bentley, and her two children with Taylor, 3-year-old Jayde and 2-year-old Maverick.

Most recently, Ryan and Mackenzie announced last week that they are no longer filming for Teen Mom OG. "We're not returning to Teen Mom this season. The network told us they don't want to show Ryan as a recovering addict," Mackenzie claimed to E! News. "But they did want to enter a contract with our unborn baby and have the baby film with Ryan's parents so it would look like someone else is raising it." "They also want to take Maci's word on how I'm doing," Ryan told E! News. "Maci's said she's not going to film unless I enter rehab again and quit the show. But I'm sober."
