Here’s Why Jana Duggar Isn’t Married Like Her Younger Sisters
Jana Duggar is living her best single life and she’s not worried about her unchanged relationship status.
According to RadarOnline.com, the oldest Duggar girl -- who has become known for being her siblings’ caretaker -- has yet to enter into a public courtship because she doesn’t want to follow in the footsteps of her younger sisters.
“Jana doesn’t want to be like a lot of others that just go out and get married and end up in a relationship that is negative,” a source told Radar.
Nearly all of Jana’s of age siblings are either married, engaged, or courting. Even her twin brother John-David finally ended his single streak, revealing he has officially entered into a courtship with Abbie Burnett, earlier this week.
While Jana has been linked to multiple men throughout the years, she’s never entered into a public courtship or hinted at even wanting to, something the insider explained is because she’s happy being alone.

“She’s content with whatever the Lord wants for her,” the source said. “She does not want to be courted quickly…She wants to be patient and wait on God.”
As she patiently waits for Mr. Right, Jana is staying busy. Earlier this month, she revealed her fruit- and vegetable-filled garden, which also features a Chip and Joanna Gaines inspired chicken coop.
While Jana may be enjoying the single life, not all of her family is on board.
Earlier this year, her father, Jim Bob Duggar, joked to a crowded church that she was “still praying” to meet someone.
