Remembering The King of Pop: Michael Jackson Would Have Been 54 Years Old Today!

The untimely death of superstar Michael Jackson shocked the world three years ago. The King of Pop died on June 25, 2009, and a Los Angeles County jury convicted his personal physician, Conrad Murray, of involuntary manslaughter in the death. The doctor gave the singer a powerful anesthetic called propofol to help Michael sleep. Propofol is typically given to patients who are undergoing surgery, and the fast-acting drug is not meant to be used outside a hospital.

The king of pop would have turned 54 years old today. His only daughter, Paris, Tweeted a photo of her next to a famous pic of her dad with the caption, "happy birthday daddy i love you with all my heart always and forever."

Kim Kardashian also sent out a message in honor of Michael. She wrote, Happy bday MJJ RT @ParisJackson: thru my joy & my sorrow , in the promise of another 2morro , i’ll never let u apart for ur always in my heart… happy birthday i love u daddy."

Happy Birthday Michael Jackson! You are missed.
