The untimely death of superstar Michael Jackson shocked the world three years ago. The King of Pop died on June 25, 2009, and a Los Angeles County jury convicted his personal physician, Conrad Murray, of involuntary manslaughter in the death. The doctor gave the singer a powerful anesthetic called propofol to help Michael sleep. Propofol is typically given to patients who are undergoing surgery, and the fast-acting drug is not meant to be used outside a hospital.
