Racked by throbbing pain that keeps her from doing the simplest things, Amber Portwood’s life in prison has taken a turn for worse.
The Teen Mom star has been suffering from a tooth infection and has been put on a waiting list for medical treatment at the Indiana prison where she is serving five years. Her family, however, is worried that if she is not treated soon, it could lead to a bigger health crisis or even be fatal.
“She has an abscess in her mouth that’s gotten so big and swollen that her whole jaw is puffed out,” her brother, Shawn Portwood, tells OK! exclusively. “Her mouth has become infected and the pain is making her so sick that she can’t sleep and she hasn’t eaten a thing in three days.”
Meanwhile, Jenelle Evans’ latest court case ended with a guilty plea from ex-fiancé Gary Head while all charges against the Teen Mom 2 star were dropped. The pair had been arrested back in June for fighting, and Jenelle faced four charges: simple assault, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
She denied all the charges on Twitter. “None of it was mine and the [Klonopin] is prescribed to me,” she wrote. The judge obviously believed her. “Jenelle was very pleased with the results today in court,” said her attorney, Dustin Sullivan, who has gotten the reality star off on 23 out of 24 charges since he started working with her. It’s a record any attorney would be proud of.
