Stefano Langone chose the song "If You Don't Know Me By Now," originally recorded by Harold Melvine and the Blue Notes, to sing on American Idol last night. The song was from 1989, the year Stefano was born, and it brought tears to his mother's eyes. Stefano also earned the praise of having the "best performance of the night so far" by the judges!

"Over the top, over the top, over the top," Steven Tyler said when Stefano finished.

"Listen man, the best performance of the night so far," Randy Jackson said. "He took a song that had the highest degree of difficulty like the Olympics and slayed it! Hot vocals, baby!"

"Ten, ten, ten," Jennifer Lopez added.

"Stefano, beautiful phrasing the way you stepped out of it. You're going to make Jimmy Iovine more famouser if that's possible," Steven said.
