Sitting across from a plate of French fries or a stack of pancakes (covered with syrup, of course!) can be an intimidating thing when following a good-for-you diet, but Jennifer Hudson doesn't let snacks get in the way of staying in shape. Her secret to saying no to the junk food that seems to taste SO good and keeping that absolutely fabulous bod?

It's really plain and simple. She gets rid of it!

"I throw the pancakes across the room! I don’t let the food intimidate me," says Jennifer Hudson in a tell-all interview with Yahoo Style. The celeb recently sat down with the publication to talk about her new album and revealed how she keeps trim while still indulging in her favorite snack—chocolate.

"If it’s too much, I just get rid of it, but I make sure to watch what I put in my body. And I make sure I know what it is. It’s all about portions for the most part. I don’t work out a lot, but I do like to be active," said Jennifer.

So does she portion chocolate? She must, considering it's on her rider.

When asked what was on her rider, Jennifer replied, "Well, I love chocolate. I always have to have chocolate around—it’s my cigarette. I don’t smoke but it calms me so well. I don’t like too much junk in my dressing room because I have to watch what I eat, so I put everything else out of the room."
