Emmy season has officially begun! The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held last night at the Nokia Theater in L.A.
Game of Thrones was the biggest winner of the night, earning six trophies including Best Special Visual Effects and Best Costumes. HBO was the leading network of the evening because of its Game of Thrones wins and its victories for Boardwalk Empire.
Other winners: Kathy Bates, for her guest appearance on CBS' Two and a Half Men, and NBC's Smash for Best Choreography.
There was also some pretty great fashion on the red carpet that we can't ignore! Mad Men's Christina Hendricks went for a bold black-and-white floral print, and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi was stunning as usual in a fitted lace gown. We also loved Kathy Griffin's pink-and-purple color block number and Jennifer Morrison was simply stunning in red.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will air Saturday, Sept. 22 on the Reelz channel, and of course, the Primetime Emmy Awards are on Sunday, Sept. 23 on ABC.
