This weekend Saturday Night Live aired a very funny commercial parody spoofing on the Brett Favre/Jenn Sterger alleged sex scandal. Jason Sudeikis takes on the Minnesota Vikings quarerback in the spot for Wrangler’s “open-fly jeans.” The skit may have been a hit, but is it stale? Funny or Die parodied the Favre scandal and the similarities between the two skits may be more than a coincidence.

“Wrangler Open-Fly Jeans feature an ultra-relaxed fit right where you need it most — the fly. Why let zippers and buttons slow you down? With open-fly jeans, it’s always out and camera-ready,” the faux Favre (Jason) says in his clip for Wrangler’s.
“Look, I put my pants on just like anyone else — one leg at a time. Then I pull my penis out. And sometimes I take a picture of it.”
Funny or Die posted a very similar skit on their Website before the SNL skit even aired, and the similarities seem more than coincidental.
While the name of the jeans may be Brett Favre’s “Dickholes” for Wrangler, the who skit runs pretty much parallel to the SNL version.
Maybe it was a coincidence and the idea for both skits lacked originality, but we want to know…
