Michael Jackson seems to be riding out a storm of law suits, ill health and bad luck recently.

But at last something positive has emerged from the King of Pop’s camp.

A British news network is reporting that the Thriller star has agreed to perform a series of shows at London’s O2 Arena.

There have been rumors that this would go down for a few months now, but Sky News says that Jackson has now finally signed a contract to appear.

His fellow pop legend, Prince, started a trend for residences like that at the 20,000 capacity venue, performing 21 shows in a row there.

The Spice Girls and Kylie Minogue have also done similar stints at the arena.

No doubt the the beleaguered star will sell out the comeback shows in an instant — but will they be a triumphant return, or just a freak show?
