After weeks of waiting, Nikki, 36, announced her son's name is Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev, while Brie, 36, shared her tot's name is Buddy Dessert.
On August 26, Nikki gave her 9.5 million followers a first look at her baby boy, whom she shares with fiancé Artem Chigvintsev. "Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev ? 7/31/2020 ? 7 lbs 3 oz ? 19 3/4 in," Nikki captioned the sweet snap.
Meanwhile, Brie — who is married to Daniel Bryan — revealed her boy's sweet moniker and the meaning behind it. "More pics to come of our sweet little Buddy," she captioned a photo of herself with Nikki and their babies. "Buddy Dessert Danielson. Named after Bryan’s Dad and his middle name is pronounced Desert after my Nana’s maiden name. He came into our lives in such a special way we wanted to name him after some special people." The pair also share 3-year-old daughter Birdie Joe Danielson.
"Hi I'm Buddy," Brie also posted on Instagram on August 26.
Nikki announced her son’s birth on August 2, 2020, with a picture of the happy family holding hands, writing, "Our baby boy is here and we couldn't be HAPPIER and more in LOVE! Everyone is safe and healthy."
The Dancing With the Stars pro, 38, took to social media to share the same picture. “7/31/2020 please welcome our precious baby boy Chigvintsev proud of my love @thenikkibella," he wrote.
On August 2, Brie announced her second child had arrived by uploading a photo of herself with her husband and their newborn. "It’s a BOY!!! 8-1-2020. We are overwhelmed with joy and everyone is healthy!!!"
The Total Divas alums announced their pregnancies in a joint statement back in January, shortly after Nikki announced she and Chigvintsev got engaged during a trip to France in November 2019.
In Nikki’s announcement post, she shared that being a mom is what she’s “wanted to be her whole life.”
"I was definitely shocked when I found out. And so nervous!" she said. "I wasn't expecting it and felt I wasn't ready but this journey of life is unpredictable. I thank God every day and night for bringing this amazing blessing and miracle into my life! I am already SO IN LOVE!!"
Brie also shared with her 7.8 million followers the big news, writing, "We are shocked like all of you!!! Never in a million years thought did I think @thenikkibella and I would be having pregnant bellies together!!! Knowing us our babies will come the same day too lol!!! We are excited for you all to follow us on this amazing journey!!! Love you Sister!!"
"It was a total surprise," Nikki told PEOPLE after finding out about her first pregnancy. "It took even me a good week to come to terms with like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm pregnant.' I'm not ready for it."
"Wait, twins being pregnant at the same time?" Brie added. "People are going to think that's a joke. We both are shocked. People are going to think we planned it, but you can't really plan pregnancy!"
Since announcing their pregnancies, the former wrestlers have been seen out on the town at farmers markets, food stores, lunch dates, and have been keeping their fans updated with belly bump posts over the past nine months.
In Nikki’s post on July 6, she wrote, “Pregnancy has been an incredible journey so far, even through some of the toughest times we have faced in this world so far and through some of the most beautiful life changing times as well.”
Nikki and her professional dancer fiancé — who first met on Dancing With the Stars in 2017 while Nikki was going through relationship troubles with ex John Cena — were very eager to find out the sex of their first child and threw a Mexican-themed reveal party, which was shown on the season 5 finale of Total Bellas.
Former WWE fighter Brie and her professional wrestling husband — who have been married for six years — decided to not find out the sex of their second child until giving birth.
Season 6 of Total Bellas is set to premiere this fall, and Nikki already gave fans a little teaser as to what's to come. "You're going to see pregnancy, labors and new mommies — well, new mommy for me," she said on her podcast. We can hardly wait!
