Ah, we just love waking up to great news. Today's great news is that Amanda Bynes is doing much, much better and, according to Us Weekly, is psychologically sane enough to handle her DUI trial on her own.

Amanda's been in a treatment center in LA since September and is currently under the conservatorship of her mother, but according to a judge, Amanda's medical records state that she is "mentally competent" enough to undergo the court proceedings for her April 2012 DUI. The trial is anticipated to take place in January of 2014.

The last we've heard of Amanda's condition was in October when her mom told press she'd "get through this situation" and then one last time earlier this month, it was confirmed that Amanda will be leaving rehab before Christmas. Things are looking up!
