Happyland's Ryan Rottman Reveals How He's Spending VMA Morning

Landing a gig on an MTV show is pretty cool in and of itself for any actor, loving your job and getting to kick it at the MTV Video Music Awards with your cast is even better.

"I’ve been (to the show) once before but I went with a buddy of mine before," says Ryan Rottman, star of MTV's amusement park comedy Happyland, premiering this Fall. "This is my first year going for my own show, being a part of the MTV family.

So how does a guy spend those pre-show hours before hitting the red carpet?

"I’ll probably get up, go to the gym, play a little basketball and then start getting ready," says Ryan.
Ah, to be a guy who doesn't have to worry about hours of hair and makeup.
Ryan, who could previously be seen on 90210 and The Lying Game, admits he'll be rooting for Modern Family and Ray Donovan for when that other awards show (ahem, The Emmys) airs on Monday night and confesses his most recent binge watching indulgence.

"The Killing—all four seasons in a week and a half," he admits proudly. "Any extra moment I have...I usually stay up until three or four watching it and I don’t know what time it is and then I realize I have to be up at nine."
