Ireland Baldwin took to Instagram to share how grateful she is for her followers after she revealed she was attacked and robbed in a parking lot. “Thank you to anyone who wrote me something kind,” she captioned a photo of herself with a bruise on her face on Sunday, August 23.
One day earlier, the 24-year-old got candid with her fans about an incident that took place on August 21. “Yesterday in the late afternoon, I was attacked by a woman who was high out of her mind on drugs and desperate for cash,” Baldwin began. “She decked me in my face in a parking lot and took my belongings and jumped in a getaway car while her husband took off.”

Fortunately, Baldwin explained that “all was sorted with the police,” and the woman “was arrested.”
“Luckily I had witnesses and got assisted really quickly,” the blonde beauty continued. “The cops told me this is happening frequently because people are desperate for money right now due to Coronavirus and people being out of work. There is a lot of theft and muggings going down. Posting this to remind everyone to be really careful and watch your surroundings. These are really difficult times and we need to look out for one another.”
Baldwin uploaded two up-close photos of herself with the bruises seen on the right side of her face.
Shortly after, social media users quickly commented about the shocking story. One person wrote, “I’m so sorry Ireland. That is horrible!” while a second person echoed, “Oh my gosh!! I’m so sorry this happened. These really are very difficult times. All of this is so sad. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!!”

Of course, Baldwin’s friends and family were worried about the Hollywood starlet. Nina Agdal wrote, “Sending heart emoji,” while Hilaria Baldwin — who is married to Ireland’s dad, Alec Baldwin — added, “I’m so glad you are safe now. We love you.” Comedian Nikki Glaser chimed in, writing, “Omg this is terrifying. So glad you’re OK.”
Christie Brinkley also wrote, “Oh Nooooo! That’s awful all the way around! That looks painful, but I’m glad it wasn’t worse!”
