Controlling Kanye West is like taming a tsunami — it’s impossible. The music megastar fashion designer-film director — have we left anything out? — is one of pop culture’s loosest nukes. Who else could manage to tick off both former President George W. Bush (whom Kanye called racist in the wake of Hurricane Katrina) and President Barack Obama (who called Kanye a “jackass” for bogarting Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech)?

So when Kanye began dating his old pal, Kim Kardashian — and, by extension, her smothering “momager” Kris Jenner and the entire reality TV family — an explosion was inevitable.
“Kris is such a meddling mother,” a family member tells OK!. “She noses into everyone’s business, especially when it comes to her daughters’ love lives. Kanye wants no part of the Kardashian invasion. They’re a force — a gang, kind of. They swoop in and dominate, and Kanye won’t be dominated.”

Adds another insider: “Kris has been orchestrating all sorts of photoops and ridiculous publicity stunts. Aside from the fact that Kanye finds it annoying, he also doesn’t want to do anything to ruin his image. And he’s putting his foot down.”
To that end, Kanye has given the reality empress an ultimatum: Get Kardashian Inc. off his back — or else.
