Exes At War! Kate Gosselin Proclaims Jon Is A 'Violent And Abusive Person'
Kate Gosselin has had enough! The mother-of-eight is speaking out against her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, after their son Collin’s shocking abuse claim.
“I am done hiding,” Kate told PEOPLE. “I will say this unequivocally: Jon is a violent and abusive person.”
Earlier this month the Berks County, Pennsylvania, Child & Youth Services notified Collin’s mom, Kate, of an open investigation into an alleged violent incident between the father and son. The allegations — although not naming Jon directly — were “causing bodily injury to a child through recent act/failure to act: hitting/punching.”
JON GOSSELIN ACCUSED OF PUNCHING AND KICKING SON COLLIN; KATE FIGHTS BACK: 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH'
Collin accused his father on Instagram of punching and kicking him.
“My dad is a liar,” Colin wrote in the since-deleted post. “Yesterday he beat me up and thought nothing of it, he punched me in the face and gave me a swollen nose and I started bleeding. He then continued to kick me in the ribs after I was on the floor. He is a liar.”
Kate told PEOPLE that she “learned of the incident from CYS, and through them I was then read multiple reports — from the police report, to Collin’s statement to the police, to the account of an adult eyewitness. They were all very similar, if not identical.”

“If this doesn’t qualify as assault, I don’t know what does.”
Jon has denied the allegations. A representative for the father-of-eight told UsWeekly that he “has never abused Collin. No charges have been filed against him, and there’s no ongoing CYS investigation.”
I 'NEVER ABUSED COLLIN'! JON GOSSELIN FIGHTS BACK AFTER SHOCKING ALLEGATIONS
Collin had been living with his father — up until the incident — since 2018, after it was reported that the teenager spent over two years away from his family in a children with special needs program.
Jon and Kate got married in 1999 and divorced in 2009, after 10 years of marriage. The two share eight children together: 19-year-old twin daughters Cara and Madelyn, and 16-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Joel, Leah, Hannah and Collin.
