Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the four young stars -- Rico Rodriguez, Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould and Ariel Winter -- are set to begin their contract negotiations this week. Apparently they were waiting until Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ed O'Neill completed their negotiations.
And if they follow in their onscreen parents' footsteps, three of them (Rico, Nolan and Ariel) have talked about banding together as a unified group to create more power in their negotiations. It sounds like Sarah will also renegotiate her contract — but she came to the show earning more than her kid co-stars because she had film and TV credits such as Lipstick Jungle and One Life to Live.

The big folks landed a percentage of back-end revenue in addition to earning about $175,000 for each episode of this upcoming season and about $350,000 for each episode of a potential season eight.
