Today is Lady Gaga's 27th birthday! It's hard to imagine that Mother Monster is actually a human being with a real live birthday, what with all her crazy costumes and whatnot, but yes, today, Lady G turns one year older. So as we do with other celebrity birthdays (like Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Hanson, for instance), we're going to take a look back at Gaga before she was famous.

Gaga didn't hit it big until circa 2009 with her first single, "Just Dance," but before that, she was a struggling musician. Here she is in 2008 at her very first red carpet event ever. Ok fine, she wasn't exactly struggling if she was walking the red carpet, but just humor us, ok?
And also, even before those days, Lady Gaga, who was simply known by her real life name, Stefani Germanotta back then, appeared on the MTV show, Boiling Points. This clip is hilarious and you need to watch it now:

As for Lady Gaga today? Oh ya know, she's just a Grammy winner who has 35 million followers on Twitter and is dating a hot hunk of an actor, Taylor Kinney. Also, she's rich and famous enough to have an entire Instagram page full of selfies that get over 50k likes each. That's when you know you've hit it big, guys.
