According to a palace spokesperson, Queen Elizabeth II was hospitalized "as a precautionary measure" Sunday after she suffered symptoms of gastroenteritis, or an inflammation of the lining of the stomach and intestines.
CNN reported that Queen Elizabeth, 86, was expected to be hospitalized for the next two days at London's King Edward VII's Hospital. "She is otherwise in good spirits and good health," said the spokesman, who added all the queen's upcoming engagements had been canceled.
CNN reported the following day that Queen Elizabeth had been released and was smiling at her departure. It was originally reported that the Queen was to be staying at the London's King Edward VII Hospital for two days.
With good health in the news, we hope that there is a family outing soon! We love to see the Royal ladies out together. On March 1st of last year, OK! reported that Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton and Duchess Camilla attended a Fortnum & Mason event together. Of course, they all looked stunning.
Send the queen your well-wishes in the comments section or on Twitter @OKMagazine
