The key to Britney Spears' fantastically fit figure was finding food choices she really enjoys. "She likes to stick to what she knows," Britney's trainer Tony Martinez tells OK! exclusively. "She eats give or six small meals every day."

For Brit, 32, that means eating a lot of simple, high-quality food : protein-rich egg white omelettes and grilled chicken over spinach salad with balsamic dressing, and healthy complex carbs like sweet potatoes and brown rice. "She eats about three hours before her shows, so that her energy is high, but she's not feeling sluggish," explains Tony.

After a show or a particularly grueling workout, she often drinks a smoothie. "For recovery, we'll make her a shake with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries," he reveals. Tony also encourages the star to allow herself a cheat day once a week. "She's not really a sweets person, but she loves Southern food—so I tell her it's okay to have it now and then."

To get in shape for her Las Vegas shows, Tony added six days a week of "hard-core interval training," to the dance rehearsals she was doing five times a week. "She burned extraordinary calories," he says.
