The Chainsmokers and Halsey may have a hot song together, but they’re getting “Closer” IRL, too!
The extremely private singer (whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane) is making more than just music with Drew Taggart, one half of the DJ duo.
Sources told OKMagazine.com exclusively that their very touchy-feely performance at the MTV VMAs on Aug. 28 was one clue that they’re hooking up behind closed doors — aside from his obvious hint when he put his hand in an X-rated place!

“Neither Halsey or Drew are trained actors so the steamy action on the VMA stage was very real,” said the insider.
According to OK!’s spy, the pair first bonded when they recorded their song “Closer” and “have been meeting up for secret dates in New York ever since.” Plus, Drew has definitely has not been hiding his feelings on Instagram.
Halsey, who once was linked to Ruby Rose as well as Justin Bieber, “usually finds herself attracted to girls,” said the source, “but she can’t resist Andy. They literally are making sweet music together.”
