Despite rating high with the judges, Nicole Polizzi and her pro dance partner Sasha Farber were sent packing during last night's show. The Snooki and JWoww star was tearful and almost speechless as she said farewell to the ballroom.
"I’m stronger than I thought I was," Nicole said backstage after the show, still trying to hold back tears.

Her son Lorenzo visited his proud mama at work on Monday and although Nicole was clearly hurt by the elimination, she lit up when asked about her little guy.
"It feels good that he’s here to support me," she says. "It sucks that I’m leaving but my son is my world."

When it came time for elimination the last two couples standing were Nicole and Sasha and Bill Engvall and his pro partner Emma Slater. Incidentally, Emma and Sasha have been in a relationship for nearly three years, so this was a no-win situation for the couple.

"Even though we were in the bottom two I still didn’t think he (Sasha) was going home, I thought it was us," says Emma, who was also tearing up as she talked to reporters. "We were prepared. We just expected that to be the case so the one thing I wasn’t prepared for was that it would be Sasha and Nicole."

Bill admits Nicole's elimination was distressing, and he feels he should have been the one sent home.
"I gave her (Nicole) a hug when she was crying and I said, 'It should have been me,' and she said, 'Shut up!,'" he said. "I go, 'Listen, I didn’t want to like you and now I really do like you a lot.' I knew her from Jersey Shore and I wasn’t a fan of the show, it’s not my demographic, but I’ve fallen in love with that little girl and you see her with that baby and it’s not even the same person."
"She has so changed," agreed Emma. "She’s always committed, she’s on time, she’s a workaholic and she’s a sucker for her little boy."
