Adam Scott Describes Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s High-Profile Nuptials as a 'Lovely, Lovely Event'

Adam Scott is sharing a sweet glimpse inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding.

The Severance star, 53, opened up about attending the couple’s July 3 nuptials during an appearance on the Today Show on Monday, August 24, describing the massive event as a “lovely, lovely” celebration centered on two people who simply love each other.

“You know what, I think the thing we walked away with, the impression we had more than anything, was that it was a real wedding,” Scott told coanchor Craig Melvin.

“You had the sense that these are just people who love each other," he continued.

While the guest list was reportedly packed with A-listers, the Emmy-nominated actor said the scale of the celebration didn’t take away from its intimate feeling.

“It was kind of on a grand scale — there were more people than were at my wedding — but at its core, it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together,” he shared, adding “Everyone teared up. It was a really lovely, lovely event.”

Scott attended the wedding with his wife, Naomi Scott, and later shared a glimpse of the night on Instagram. In the photo, the couple posed in their formalwear alongside fellow actor Paul Rudd and his wife, Julie Yaeger. Keeping the caption simple, the Parks and Recreation alum wrote, “❤️T&T❤️.”

But while Scott may have scored an invitation to one of the year’s biggest celebrity events, there was one person at home who wasn't exactly thrilled about being left off the guest list: his teenage daughter, Francesca, whom he calls Frankie.

When Melvin asked whether attending the wedding had earned him “some serious dad points” with his Swiftie daughter, the comedy actor admitted, “Sure did, except I didn’t bring her,” adding, “So I lost some points at the same time.”

“But she stayed up and waited for us to come home that night to get all the details,” he continued.

The actor, however, wasn't willing to spill what exactly he told his daughter about the big night. When pressed for more details, he jokingly suggested the Today hosts bring Frankie on the show instead.

“You can have her on, and she’ll tell you what happened,” he quipped, prompting Melvin to respond, “Honestly, we would book her tomorrow if she would share.”

Scott isn’t the only guest who has described the wedding as more personal than its enormous scale might suggest. Brad Paisley previously called it “one of the least pretentious weddings” he had ever attended, while Good Morning America co-hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos also said the celebration felt remarkably intimate.
