Down And Out! Alex Rodriguez 'Saddened' By Ex-Fiancée Jennifer Lopez's Reunion With Ben Affleck
While many fans are ecstatic to see Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck hanging out again, it seems one person is not happy that they have reunited: the singer's ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
Affleck and Lopez reportedly spent a week-long vacation in Montana; they headed to the Yellowstone Club shortly after they attended the Vax Live concert on Sunday, May 2. "They were alone," an insider said of the trip. "Just the two of them."
"A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on," another source said. "He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him."
According to the source, Rodriguez was "saddened" by the reunion and reached out to tell Lopez that "he's upset," but the 51-year-old is "not interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done."
"She wants to give it a shot with Ben," another insider said. "They never really had closure and she has always wondered what could have been. The timing was never right and they were in different places until now.
"She finally has had the opportunity to spend time with him and see where this could lead," the source said. "They are very comfortable together and it's easy. She wants to keep seeing him and is very happy."
Lopez and Affleck began dating in 2002 while they were filming Gigli, and the 48-year-old had popped the question by November of that year.

Despite the split, the pair always thought highly of one another. After Affleck gushed to InStyle about how Lopez must have access to "the fountain of youth," things were said to heat up between them. "Ben is funny! He still looks pretty good too," Lopez responded.
In fact, OK! was the first to report that Affleck and Lopez were in secret communication. "InStyle asked Jennifer who they should talk to about her for the cover story. It was Jen who gave them Ben’s name," an OK! insider spilled. "Ben and Jen have been talking in private a lot over the past few months, and now the world knows just how close the two of them are again. When things started to get bad with Alex, Jen turned to Ben for advice.
"She is the rebound girl when it comes to love. After she broke up with Ben, Jen went running back to the arms of Marc Anthony. If she breaks up with Alex, it makes sense she will go running back to Ben," the insider explained.
Rodriguez and Lopez announced that they had ended their engagement on April 15. "We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and each other’s children," they announced on the TODAY show and said they realized they are better off as friends.
Days later, 45-year-old Rodriguez and Lopez were spotted having dinner in the Hotel Bel-Air, which is where they had their first date in 2017. "There still seemed to be love and respect there," an insider told Page Six of the meeting.
E! News was the first to report that Rodriguez was "saddened" by the Bennifer reunion.
