Andrew Garfield Reflects On Working On 'The Amazing Spider-Man' With Ex Emma Stone, Says The Experience Was 'Beautiful'
Andrew Garfield has nothing but kind words for his ex-girlfriend Emma Stone.
The 38-year-old spoke with Variety and explained that although the two superstar actors called it quits back in 2015 after being together for four years, he still looks back on how they met and fell in love with each other on the set of the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man fondly.
"It was only beautiful," Garfield told the outlet as he looked back on the experience. "I got to meet Emma [Stone] and work with her and Sally Field."
This is far from the first time that the Tony Award winning actor has spoken about the Cruella star. While on Vanity Fair's Little Gold Men podcast back in 2017, he said of Stone, "I'm her biggest fan as an artist. I'm constantly inspired by her work. I'm constantly inspired by how she handles and holds herself. So, for me it's been bliss to be able to watch her success and watch her bloom into the actress she is."
"We care about each other so much, and that's a given, that's kind of this unconditional thing," he continued. "There's so much love between us and so much respect … It's also been wonderful to have that kind of support for each other."

Garfield emphasized, "It's nothing but a beautiful thing."
The 32-year-old actress has since moved on and married comedian and writer David McCary in 2020. The two welcomed their daughter Louise Jean McCary in March of this year.
As OK! previously reported, back in 2018, Garfield opened up about how he does not limit the ways in which he expresses his sexuality.
While speaking with OUT, he explained, "Up until this point, I've only been sexually attracted to women. My stance toward life, though, is that I always try to surrender to the mystery of not being in charge."
