Angelina Jolie 'Hitting The Dating Scene With A Vengeance' Following Brad Pitt Split, Pals Worry Former Party Girl Could Be 'Self-Destructing'
As her messy custody battle with estranged ex, Brad Pitt, continues to play out in court, Angelina Jolie has been more carefree than normal, spotted around town with multiple men, which has her friends worried.
The Salt actress was spotted leaving ex-husband Johnny Miller’s NYC abode late last month with a bottle of wine. The former flames met on the set of Hackers in 1995 and married a year later, only to divorce in 1999.
Then, Jolie was photographed leaving celeb hotspot Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles with “Starboy” crooner The Weeknd on June 30. Although the pair exited the restaurant separately, spies claimed they spent hours together inside.
Adding fuel to the fire that the duo were dating, they were snapped at Mustafa the Poet’s private concert two weeks later, OK! reported. Since her tryst with her ex and The Weeknd, insiders are spilling that the 46-year-old is “hitting the dating scene with a vengeance,” with pals worried she is spiraling out of control.
“There’s a growing concern there’s something that’s causing Angie to act this way,” a source spills to OK!, noting that pals are saying Jolie is having a hard time coping with the judge’s recent decision to grant Pitt joint custody of their children, and that’s why her behavior is so out of character. “She’s not acting like herself,” says the insider. “Friends fear she could be self-destructing,” the insider dishes, adding that those close to mother-of-six are questioning her choice in men. “Spending an evening drinking with Johnny surprised everyone,” shares the insider. “It’s something she would have done in her 20s, not now. It feels like she’s regressing.”
Her friends also took aim at her rumored fling with The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, saying he “isn’t exactly stepdad material,” notes the insider. The singer — who famously dated Bella Hadid and pop superstar Selena Gomez — has a reputation for being a heartbreaker.
“Plus, he’s 15 years younger than Angie,” adds the insider. “A lot of people in her life are puzzled by her decision-making process on that one.”
Jolie, who once reportedly admitted to taking “every drug possible” in her 20s, is finding her post-divorce dating life fun and doesn’t care what people think about her. “She’s finding this new adventure exhilarating, and anyone else who has an issue with it can go take a hike,” the insider adds.
