Ant Anstead Gushes Over His 'Close' Relationship With Renée Zellweger As Ex Christina Haack Sparks Engagement Rumors
Ant Anstead is gushing over his blossoming romance with A-lister Renée Zellweger.
The Celebrity IOU: Joyride host spilled he and the Judy star have “become quite close” since they first met on his hit Discovery+ series where Zellweger was a guest.
He noted the lovebirds were determined to keep their budding romance on the downlow, but ultimately that didn't work out. “We kept it secret for a while and now, unfortunately, some pictures were taken and put out there," Anstead said on E!’s Daily Pop Wednesday, August 18, referring to photos of the two making out in Los Angeles.
“But it was a real pleasure to work with her,” he explained. “She's a super pro and she can weld.”
After OK! spilled that Zellweger was spotted carrying items into her new beau’s luxurious Laguna Beach abode last month, sources squealed the duo are ready to take their relationship to the next step.

“Renée is already moving things into Ant’s house,” an insider dished at the time, adding that the 42-year-old mechanic “adores” the actress and “makes her feel safe.”
Although the duo just started dating in June, things progressed quickly, as Zellweger has already been introduced to Anstead’s 1-year-old son Hudson — whom he shares with ex Christina Haack. He also shares daughter Amelie, 17, and son Archie, 14, with ex-wife Louise Anstead.
Anstead’s sweet words about his main squeeze comes shortly after OK! reported that his ex-wife could possibly be engaged to beau Josh Hall. Haack set the internet ablaze after she posted, then quickly deleted a photo showing her wearing an engagement ring on that finger.
The 38-year-old blonde beauty replaced the original photo with the ring with a similar photo showing no ring, “Boat day with friends, my man and his pretty mama. ❤️ ☀️,” she captioned the new pic sans the rock.
Adding fuel to the engagement fire, the Christina on the Coast star appeared to be sipping on some bubbly in the snap, leaving many to believe she had something to celebrate. She sneakily turned off comments on the post so no one could call her out on the tricky photo swap.
