Dashing Ben Affleck Dresses To The Nines For Malibu Lunch With Fiancée Jennifer Lopez & Her Mom

Dressed to impress! Ben Affleck made sure to clean up nice for his lunch date with fiancée Jennifer Lopez and her mom.

The lovebirds were seen looking happier than ever as they headed into the Soho House in Malibu to grab a bite to eat on Saturday, May 14, with the songstress' mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez.

Affleck, who has known Rodríguez for years given he and Lopez had a highly publicized romance in the early 2000s, looked clean cut in a dark black suit and unbuttoned white dress shirt he wore with no tie, as seen in photos obtained by Daily Mail. His bribe-to-be looked stunning in a navy blue minidress and nude heels she complimented with oversized sunglasses and a large Christian Dior tote.

It's safe to assume Affleck and his soon-to-be mother-in-law were happy to be spending the day together, as an insider spilled Rodríguez was a big fan of Bennifer and thrilled when they reconciled in April 2021.

"In the past, Jennifer's mom and Ben were very close. Guadalupe loved Ben. She was sad when they couldn't work things out years ago," a source told People last summer after Bennifer 2.0's reconciliation. "She is thrilled that they are back together now."

The insider also noted "Jennifer is very close with her mom," so it's always been "important to her that the person she is with, gets along with her mom."

Since Rodríguez clearly has love for both her daughter and her future son-in-law, she can hopefully mediate the two clashing over wedding plans. After Lopez confirmed last month the Argo actor proposed to her, OK! learned they're not seeing eye to eye when it comes to the big day details, with Lopez envisioning something elaborate and star-studded while Affleck wants their wedding "to be just family and close friends."

Though they may be butting heads on the matter right now, the power couple has definitely overcome bigger obstacles, such as their 2003 wedding, which they called off due to the media frenzy surrounding what was supposed to be their special day.

Lopez and Affleck have both been vocal about how grateful they are to be given a second shot at love, with the Latin pop star declaring they've learned from their past mistakes. "Before we kind of put [our relationship] out there and we were naïve and it got a little trampled," she confessed of Bennifer during a February interview, but this time, "We don't want any of that to come into play again."
