Bethenny Frankel recently discussed her coparenting journey with ex-husband Jason Hoppy, shedding light on the complexities of their relationship.
During an episode of the “Aspire” podcast, Frankel emphasized the importance of fostering a successful environment for herself and her daughter, Bryn.
“I want to be in a successful relationship for myself and my daughter because we’re rolling very light and it comes up during holidays,” she stated.
Bethenny Frankel said her experiences with Jason Hoppy have shaped the way she approaches coparenting.
Frankel, 55, expressed that there are “a lot of personal things going on within her family dynamic” that have influenced her approach to coparenting.
Her comments reflect the ongoing challenges both she and Hoppy face while raising their daughter together.

The couple married in 2010 and welcomed Bryn that same year. However, their marriage ended two years later, leading to a contentious divorce and a prolonged custody battle.
Frankel and Hoppy’s legal disputes captured public attention, especially as they fought over Bryn’s custody.
In 2021, a judge ruled that Frankel was no longer obligated to pay Hoppy child support since Bryn primarily lives with her.
Hoppy remarked during the court hearing, “I’m removing myself of this fight for Bryn and my physical, emotional and mental health.”
This decision marked a significant shift in their dynamic, with both parents prioritizing Bryn’s well-being.
A judge ruled in 2021 that Bethenny Frankel was no longer required to pay child support because Bryn Hoppy primarily lived with her.
In 2025, Frankel and Bryn made a significant move to Florida.
Frankel revealed, “We were down in Florida and something very personal transpired,” sharing that a personal event prompted the relocation.
Bryn had expressed a desire to move to Florida years prior, and after witnessing her daughter’s emotional plea, Frankel decided to make the change.
“I was just like, ‘F------ f--- it, OK,’” she recalled.
Now, Frankel aims to provide a strong sense of community for Bryn.
“I want a unit, I want a family,” she stated on Emma Grede’s podcast.
