Bethenny Frankel Shuts Down Claims She 'Set Up' Tom D'Agostino Cheating Scandal On 'The Real Housewives Of New York'
Bethenny Frankel is shutting down claims made by her former cast members that she "set up" LuAnn de Lesseps' ex Tom D’Agostino's cheating scandal.
In the latest episode of the entrepreneur's Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast via Page Six — The Real Housewives of New York City alum denied that she had staged the pictures of the Countess' ex kissing another woman — while they were engaged.
“Two very credible ‘Housewives,’ just upstanding credible ‘Housewives’ — one of who is fired and one of who is about to be fired — say that I set up a photo of Tom cheating on Luann,” Frankel said presumably referring to Carole Radziwill and Ramona Singer.
“How could I set up a photo? Am I in a movie I’m casting?" the 50-year-old added. "Like, ‘Hey Tom D’Agostino, I’d like to cast you in the role as cheater at the Regency Hotel’?”
Frankel continued to back up her point by telling her listeners that she "never" goes to Uptown Manhattan — where the infamous hotel is located and where the headline making picture was taken.
“So in this case, I’m a casting director that called Tom D’Agostino — who I don’t f–king know — to say, ‘Listen, I know it sounds weird, I just want you to be in a bar and make out with somebody, because I have a photographer who’s going to be standing by to take a picture," the veteran Bravo star explained. "Then I’m going to give it to everyone on the show.'”

In the Housewives tell-all book — Not All Diamonds and Rosé — former bestie Radziwill alleged that the Big Shot With Bethenny star had set up the whole scene. “Bethenny got a picture of Tom kissing a girl at the Regency Hotel. It was a total setup,” the journalist — who was backed up by Singer — claimed in the book.
Frankel clarified her story on her podcast as she said, “It was the night before [D’Agostino and de Lesseps’] engagement party in Florida. [My friend] said, ‘Tom’s here with a woman,’ and she took a picture and sent it to me.’"
“I sent it to Carole that night like, ‘Oh my God, look at this picture," the mother-of-one claimed. “That’s what really happened in the land of non lala psycho delusional PCP acid trip delusions.”
