Better Call Saul fans rejoice!
Bob Odenkirk has returned to the hit AMC series after suffering “a small heart attack” in late July.
“Back to work on Better Call Saul!,” the 58-year-old actor tweeted alongside a photo of him in a makeup chair on Wednesday, September 8. “So happy to be here and living this specific life surrounded by such good people.”
He continued: “BTW this is makeup pro Cheri Montesanto making me not ugly for shooting!”
His followers were overjoyed after he posted the exciting news. “Glad to see ya back in the saddle, Bob. Take it easy and don't stress yourself out, man,” one user wrote, while another commented: “So glad you’re back at it and feeling better!!”
As OK! previously reported, the Breaking Bad alum previously collapsed on set in New Mexico while filming on Tuesday, July 27. Crew members immediately rushed the star to the hospital, where he underwent treatment.
After the news of his collapse dominated headlines, the TV icon quickly received an outpouring of love on social media from his famous pals and colleagues. “Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning,” Breaking Bad costar Bryan Cranston wrote via Instagram at the time.
The Malcolm in the Middle alum continued: “My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul. He is in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving the medical attention he needs but his condition is not known to the public as yet. Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.”
“I love you my friend,” actor Aaron Paul wrote via Instagram, while comedian and Mr. Show With Bob and David co-creator David Cross tweeted: “I will share what I know when I can but Bob is one of the strongest people I know both physically and spiritually. He WILL get through this.”
A few days later, Odenkirk broke his silence via social media and thanked his loved ones and fans for their unwavering support.
“Hi. It's Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week,” he tweeted on Friday, July 30. “And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much.”
“I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon,” he added.
Odenkirk — who plays lawyer Jimmy McGill a.k.a Saul Goodman on the beloved series — is currently shooting the sixth and final season expected to premiere next year.
